Dear Bruce,
I am writing you this letter to inform
you that you no longer have to send me upcoming tours and correspondence
information. In early 1999 a friend gave me the TLC Tour Video, and
after viewing the video I planned on going on the Cali, Colombia tour
in June 1999. As I was paying for the trip I ordered your 1998 Fall,
Winter and Spring 1999 photomagazines, and I started writing several
Latina women in Cali, Colombia. After several responses I received
a letter and photograph from Leticia. Leticia had a computer at her
work and we started sending e-mails to each other almost everyday.
She didn't know that much English and I didn't know very much Spanish
so it was difficult communicating at first over the telephone.
In June, after much anticipation I met Leticia and
her daughter Ana at the airport before the Cali, Colombia tour. We
were immediately attracted to each other and I felt that I didn't
really need to attend the social events. However, I wanted to go to
the first evening social event to see for myself all the beautiful
Latina women, and to prove to my skeptical friends that it was for
real. So armed with a camera in one hand and Leticia in the other,
we both went to Friday's social event and had a great time meeting
a lot of people from all over the world. After returning to the United
States I filed for a fiancée visa with the Immigration Department.
On December 28, 1999 we got married in Lake County,
Illinois and have been very happy ever since. Leticia and her daughter
Ana started taking English classes immediately and now both speak
very good English. Leticia and Ana received their work permits and
both have been working since last June. Leticia also received her
driver's license and now has her own car. I would also like to say
that the book "The Romance Zone" was a very interesting and informative
book. I found that everything that was written in the book on Latina
women and their culture to be very true. Thank you TLC for giving
me a great wife and step daughter that I may never of had in the United
States.
Sincerely,
Joseph & Leticia

Dear TLC,
Yes gentleman,
this beautiful creature is my wife. Where else can a guy over
50 meet someone who is so successful and attractive? Let me tell
you guys reading this, you do not have to accept your current
station in life, you do not have to accept less than you truly
deserve! The ways of the American woman no longer has to apply.
Don't let it!
"The Latina
Connection" gives you the opportunity to meet many woman who don't
have a "superiority" complex. I met Corina in the summer of 1998
in Panama after meeting 100's of women both in Colombia and Panama.
After a short dating period, with all the highs and lows that can
bring, you should be able to sort it out. Look for honesty and be
realistic with yourself. Don't be blinded by beauty because it so
easy. We corresponded openly for about 6 months, and I returned
in December 1998.
After a whirlwind
courtship she accepted my marriage proposal. I went back in August
of 1999 and brought her home on a Fiancée Visa and we were married
in September. (Get married here to save time.) We plan on "snow-birding"
and living in both countries, as you will find out, Latin families
are very warm and accepting. I sent her to school to expand her
English down there (very inexpensive) and now have the most rewarding
life I ever had! Good Luck Guys!
